Le guarnizioni EGR sono formate da un elemento di tenuta in PTFE che viene energizzato da un O-Ring. Ne risulta una tenuta eccezionale a pressioni elevate e una buona tenuta statica. La guarnizione EGR data la sua forma costruttiva, è una guarnizione a doppio effetto. Questa forma costruttiva in versione standard prevede una combinazione di PTFE-Bronzo/NBR 70.
